SA Nationals #2 Pretoria

It has been a while since my last post, apologies I have been training hard for Sani2C next month.

This past weekend Cycling SA held the XCO and DH Nationals Round 2 in Pretoria. XCO was held at Fountains and parts of the route was ridden in reverse this time around, which gave me some interesting photo opportunities! DH was held at Track 139 near Garsfontein offramp. This was my first time attending an event at this track, I was surprised how much could be done so close to the “suburbs” ;o) Well done Gravity All Stars and thank you for all the effort you put into building the track.

I am finally getting the lighting right that I want in a photo. That harsh light the flash creates can be really distracting to the eye if you don’t get it just right. I do still sometimes use the flash to create a “halo” effect around the subject, although I am not sure I like it. I am still a “work in progress” and loving every minute of it!
